The Commense Academy online efile beginners course is an accredited course perfect for busy nail techs looking to enhance their manicure routine and train in e-file from the comfort of their own home or salon. Learn at your own pace, in your own space.
When will I get access to my course?
Please note that you will not gain access instantly. This course is only suitable for qualified nail technicians. Commense Academy will need to approve you for the course after purchase. Once you have made a booking, we will contact you within 24 hours to approve you and add you to the course. Once approved you will have 12 weeks to complete the course.
Will i receive a kit?
No kit is included in this course, after onboarding to the course you will receive a detailed product list with links on where to purchase your e-file kit so you can work alongside the modules.
What will I learn?
A series of step by step lessons alongside your e-file manual which will educate you on how to incorporate an e-file into your nail practice.

- Understanding e-files: how do they work – speeds – efile bits
- Nail Prep: Full Nail Prep (e-file) Including Cuticles & Shaping • Nail Plate & Skin Prep • Removal
- Debulking and Refining Gel: Debulking and Refining of Builder Gel
- Aftercare: Aftercare and Finishing Touches
- Midpoint 1-1: Online 30 minute 1-1 session with Shenique to discuss anything course, nail related.
Practical Assessment
A practical assessment video submission will be required for you to gain accreditation, details explained on how to do this within the course and we can also go over this on your 1-1 session with Shenique.
- You will have 12 weeks to complete the course.
- Practical assessment must be submitted online within the 12 week period.
- If the course is not completed within 12 weeks you must reapply, at an additional cost.
